Spring Quilt Market 2010!

We’re back from a weekend of buying at International Quilt Market in Minneapolis, MN! What a fun time we had finding new products for all of you. We always start our Market at the Hoffman booth. Here’s my mom, Sarah, and our rep, Myra, ordering batiks!

We found some wonderful new colors and styles, and we ordered tons of Bali Pops! And, we will soon have some new patterns from Auntie’s Too for cool bags out of the Bali Pops.

Our next stop was EE Schenck were we ordered a new rick rack display! We will be your rick rack headquarters- small or large we will have

Our next stop was GE Designs were we caught up with Gudrun and took a look at her adorable booth! it was filled with projects from her latest book “Fast & Furious Quilt as You Go for the Holidays”. So cute!!! You are going to love this book!

On to lunch were my mom met a couple of MN Twins- well maybe just their photo!

We started our afternoon with Pieced Tree Pattern company- one of our favorites for quick and easy table runner patterns. Here’s a look at the new display we bought, along with the 12 new patterns they released at Market. Plus, we’ll be heading to their shop on our Amana Bus Trip!

Laminated fabric from Free Spirit anyone? We saw an adorable rain jacket made out of it from a Kwik Sew pattern.

Our next stop was Anka’s Treasures. Heather introduced some awesome new quilt patterns. We bought them all and plan to make lots of new models!!

Another designer that we spent some time with was Anna Maria Horner. She launched a new baby book that is filled with projects for baby, mom, & family.

Alexander Henry was our next appointment. Here we were purchased their next line of prints which were inspired by Matisse. They are quite cool! We also bought some of their new Lawn prints which will be perfect for garment sewing!

We always get hung up at JHB Buttons. This year we were excited about their new button kits for making jewelry & key chains. We also loved their button stacking ideas!


Our next stop brought us to a brand new company in the quilting industry, Adorn It. They are one of the premiere companies in the Scrapbooking Industry and decided to offer their adorable images on fabric! I can’t wait for the two owl groups to arrive!!

The best costumes at Market? Definitely the girls from Moda Home who were decked out in circus inspired outfits!

We started the second day at Robert Kaufman were we discovered a new designer who is offered organic prints at a reasonable price! Very cool!

And, Kaufman’s big news of Market was the launch of Dr. Suess this September!

Across the aisle we found this fantastic quilt from Shannon made out of their irresistible Cuddle. Kits coming soon!!

A big trend in the industry right now is scrapbooking designs coming to fabric. Riley Blake was one of the hottest booths at Market. Here’s a look at the cute holiday line that we have coming to the shop.

After that we went over to Atkinson Designs to pick up Terry’s new zippers. We also signed up to be a Groovy Girl Club shop! Stay tuned for information on when we will start!

After that we found an adorable wool applique monthly quilt series. We are so excited to have a trunk show of it coming in, and we will be making lots of new wool models!

Then we discovered the fantastic designs by Stacey of Buttermilk Basin. Just look at how adorable these Halloween projects are! Yeah wool!!

We loved these Halloween pillows!!

Then we decided to get pictures of all our favorite people!

Here’s Sherri of This & That with her husband and daughter. Check out the fun projects from the new Holly Taylor Christmas hanging behind them!

Next on the list was Kaye England. We signed up to be a Bread & Butter Society shop too! Look for those patterns in our shop & at BWQS Club!

Then we went over to Troy where we found Debbie from Granola Girl. Behind us you’ll see a sneek peak at her next line that will feature that cute red truck!

And our final stop was Pearl of Pearl Louise Designs. We loved her new summer fabric line called Peddle Pushers- so cute!
